It was a great experience. I wasn’t sure about it at first, only because I didn’t really know what I was stepping into, but when we started talking I just came to so many realizations, felt as if I was breaking through walls. Before working with you I was feeling a bit drained, sluggish, heavy, in a way that I didn’t even realize until feeling the comparison of how light and energized I now feel after. I appreciate how you held space for me to share as much or as little as I felt called to. It was clear that you had no ulterior motive other than to be of help. You were not trying to say that you have a special secret that only you know and can share with me. You helped me realize that we all have/essentially are [what we need]. You did not bring me to a place outside of me that only you know, you brought me to a place inside myself that has always been there and always will be. I felt calm throughout the entire call even as waves of different emotions passed through me. 
What I would say to someone thinking about working with you is that they should give it a try. It was like a class in the sense that I learned so much, but unlike a class in the sense that I didn’t need to show up with anything at all. I just showed up. It was such an undemanding and valuable experience. All I really had to do was be. Thank you again.

I have attended a few sessions facilitated by Zak, and I am always looking forward to the next one, hoping my schedule will allow me to join his group. I leave each session feeling calm and refreshed. This is priceless! I have read a lot about mindfulness but nothing replaces setting a time aside to just …”be”! Zak (and Zoom) makes it so much easier in this no pressure format (you join when you can), from wherever you are, as you are. 

     With patience, kindness and simplicity, Zak guides us to notice how we feel, and to notice the thoughts that come at us or through us and to let go… let go of expectations and pressures we put on ourselves and accept what is. The result is PEACE. This opens an inner space of possibilities and joy. Being led in meditation by Zak is so different than listening to a recording, and dedicating time to practicing re-grouping and finding calm allows me to easily tap into that state during daily life.

     I use the sessions with Zak to recharge myself so I can be more effective at work connecting with my patients and caring for them. I have found clarity and a new perspective on different issues just by being able to let go and accept things as they are during these sessions. Be kind to yourself and save yourself some time by joining the next session with Zak.
